We operate a made‑to‑order and ship‑from‑stock model, meaning most products are manufactured or sourced specifically for your order and shipped by sea freight to the United Kingdom. This page explains how our shipping process works, typical timeframes, and what you can expect.

1. Our Shipping Model

We primarily operate on a made‑to‑order basis for the majority of our product range. A small selection of popular standard models may be available from the manufacturer's existing stock for faster dispatch. Your dedicated quotation will confirm the estimated delivery timeframe for your specific order.

Key Point: Every order receives a confirmed estimated delivery time at the quotation stage, based on the product type, current production schedule, and shipping route.

2. Where We Deliver

We deliver to customers throughout the United Kingdom, including England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. We also serve the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, and selected international destinations by special arrangement.

3. Shipping Method — Sea Freight

The majority of our orders are shipped from the manufacturer's facility in China via sea freight to a UK port. This is the most cost‑effective method for large laboratory equipment and is included in your quoted price.

Sea Freight Process

Production: Your equipment is manufactured (or picked from available stock) at the manufacturer's facility in Hefei, China.
Export packaging: All equipment is packed in steel‑edged export packaging to withstand the rigours of sea transport.
Domestic transport (China): The manufacturer transports your order to the Chinese departure port. This cost is included in your quotation.
Sea freight: Your order is loaded into a shipping container and transported by sea to a UK port (typically Felixstowe, Southampton, or London Gateway).
UK customs clearance: Benli Management Ltd acts as the Importer of Record. We handle all customs clearance, import duties, and VAT on your behalf.
UK domestic delivery: Once cleared, your order is transported from the port to your delivery address via our trusted UK freight partners.

Cost‑effective: Significantly lower shipping costs compared to air freight, keeping your overall equipment cost competitive.

4. Estimated Delivery Timeframes

Delivery timeframes depend on whether your product is made‑to‑order or available from the manufacturer's existing stock. The table below shows typical timeframes from order confirmation to delivery at your UK address.

Important: All timeframes below are estimates. Your confirmed estimated delivery date will be provided in your formal quotation and Order Acknowledgement, based on the current production queue and shipping schedule.

Good News: Production times for popular standard models are often shorter than stated above. The manufacturer maintains buffer stock of best‑selling models, which can significantly reduce overall delivery time. We will always advise you of the fastest available option at quotation stage.

5. Your Quotation — Confirmed Delivery Estimate

When you request a quotation, we will provide:

Confirmed estimated delivery date based on the current production schedule and shipping availability;
Breakdown of costs: Equipment price, sea freight, UK customs clearance, import duty, and UK domestic delivery;
Option for faster shipping: Where available, we may offer air freight for urgent orders (additional cost applies).

The estimated delivery date provided in your Order Acknowledgement is our commitment to you. We will keep you informed of any material changes to this timeline.

6. Shipping Costs

Your quotation includes all shipping‑related costs as a single, transparent figure:

Steel‑edged export packaging: Included as standard.
Domestic transport to Chinese port: Included.
Sea freight (China to UK port): Included.
UK customs clearance and import duties: Included — we handle everything.
UK domestic delivery (port to your address): Included for UK mainland addresses.

There are no hidden shipping costs. What we quote is what you pay for delivery to your door.

7. Packaging

All equipment is packaged to withstand the rigours of sea freight:

Steel‑edged export‑grade wooden crates for all furnace orders;
Shock‑absorbing foam and reinforced corners for delicate components;
Moisture‑resistant wrapping to protect against humidity during sea transport;
Clear handling labels (fragile, this way up, keep dry) in English and Chinese.

8. Tracking Your Order

We provide regular updates throughout your order journey:

Order confirmation: Immediate upon receipt of deposit.
Production update: Mid‑point notification during manufacturing.
Dispatch from manufacturer: Notification when your order leaves the factory.
Shipping update: Container booking and vessel details, including estimated arrival at UK port.
UK customs clearance: Notification when your order clears customs.
Final delivery scheduling: Our UK logistics partner will contact you to arrange a convenient delivery date.

9. Receiving Your Delivery

9.1 Please ensure someone is available at the delivery address on the agreed date to accept and sign for the goods.

9.2 Upon delivery, we strongly recommend that you:

Inspect the external packaging for any visible damage before signing;
Note any damage on the delivery receipt before the driver leaves;
Photograph any damage to the packaging or goods as evidence;
Unpack and inspect the goods within 48 hours of delivery.

9.3 Any shortages or transit damage must be reported to us in writing within 48 hours of delivery to enable us to make a timely insurance claim.

10. Urgent Orders — Air Freight Option

If you have an urgent requirement, we may be able to arrange air freight for a faster delivery. Air freight typically reduces the shipping time from 6–8 weeks to approximately 7–14 business days.

Air freight is considerably more expensive than sea freight. We will provide a comparison quotation so you can make an informed decision. Please mention your urgency when requesting a quotation.

11. Installation Service

We offer an optional installation and commissioning service once your equipment arrives in the UK. Our engineers will:

Unpack and position your equipment;
Complete full installation and safety checks;
Calibrate to manufacturer specifications;
Provide hands‑on training for your laboratory staff.
